What we have now is grass, danelions, and plenty of sun.  How should i go about it all?  I can buy the herbs in pots and just plant them, right?

Answer
Dear Ethan:

Welcome to the wonderful and exciting hobby of backyard gardening!  The work is hard, but the rewards are great including harvest time when you enjoy the fruits of all your effort.  I recommend that you start your endeavor by reading the reference material found on the University of Florida website shown below:

In addition, spend some time at your local library and bookstore to discover information about beginning organic gardening.  The Rodale Institute which is located in your home state; publishes an excellent bi-monthly magazine: "Organic Gardening" that is filled with many useful articles for the beginning gardener.  They also have a wonderful selection of books in their online bookstore.

Good luck!
