Compost Tea

Question
How often should I apply compost tea to my lawn. I make it in a five gallon container of well water with air-pump,air stones(two on bottom, two in bag, and a summerged porous bag containing organic compost, alfalfa meal,a little granular Maxi-crop,some worm castings, two air stones and finally a little un-sulfered molasses. I let this brew for 24+ hours. The grass stands on it's roots after an application through a 16 to 1 inline hose educter.
Thanks, Fred

Answer
You really don't need to do a lot of Compost Tea feeding if you have the right stuff to begin with.  That includes maintaining microbes-friendly Soil and vigorously aerated liquid to make sure you brew aerobes in that tea-pot.

Aerobic Bacteria are Good Bacteria.  It's the anaerobic Bacteria that you have to watch out for.  Anaerobes are frequently pathogenic.  Bad Bacteria, as opposed to Good Bacteria.

Fish tank airstones make good air supplies.  Include this in your game plan, and you can't go wrong with this stuff.

Organic matter will improve (if needed) the tilth of your Soil.  Once you've got those ducks in a row, you will have just about the ultimate setup I can imagine.  Organic matter improves water retention, moreover, which is important when you are trying to maintain the Nematodes population (Nematodes are extremely delicate).

Nice work.  Very encouraging for someone like me to not feel all alone now and then.
