Question
The Slime mold we have is just in the flower bed.  It was not noticed until we mulched it about 3 years ago.  I found a hard solid crust under the mulch that I removed with much labor and have had patches of it since that time that re-appears after heavy rains.  Would re-mulching with Eucalyptus mulch help or hurt?

I believe that dry conditions and good air circulation will prevent recurrence. Manipulate the irrigation to allow the beds to dry out. I am doubtful of the benefits of mulching flower beds but if you must, then I suggest lava rock or similar product.
