dying grass & animals digging holes

Question
EVERY MORNING I LOOK IN MY YARD AND MY GRASS IS GETTING DARKER AND DARKER,AND THERE ARE HOLES DUG BY SOMEKIND OF ANIMAL.I DONT KNOW WHY MY GRASS IS DYING IN MENY SPOTS. CAN YOU HELP ME. THANK YOU VERY MUCH .ROBERT KILPATRICK

Answer
If your area is hospitable to armadillos, they may be digging the holes... in search of insects... so you might have an insect problem. Armadillos are nocturnal but birds which forage during the day, will do the same thing.
The grass is "getting darker and darker". I presume you mean it is dying slowly.
There are a good many causes associated with this:- fungus, irrigation failure, insects etc. The grass is dying and there are signs that animals may be foraging. I would conclude that insects might be at work. Check out this site for the methodology.
