Hi marc. I have been reading your suggestions for ground coverings on a slope. I've done the prep, but now I need the most cost efficient, but tasteful looking incline. I live in So. NH. As a follow-up, Bobbie, you mentioned that you live on a shoreline.  Here is a link from UNH for plants that do well there:

I'd also try to find a Willow or river-dwelling plant that may also work....but I don't know of a particular species that's agreeable to your New Hampshire climate.
