lawn/landscaping

Question
We have a large front yard (1 acre +/-).  It is all lawn... nothing breaking it up.  I'd like to take a small section of the lawn, remove the sod, and put in a small landscaped area.  Maybe incorporate a large rock (we have some boulders that were removed when we built the house).  I have looked on the internet for ideas for this type of landscape area, but can't find anything.  Is there a specific term used for a landscaped area in the middle of a yard?  Either there isn't much internet space devoted to this sort of thing, or I am not using correct wording in my internet searches.
thanks

Google is a great site for just about anything.I typed in "boulders in the landscape" You could also type in "landscaping with boulders".You will find plenty of info with these direct searches if you don't find what you are looking for with my links I provided.Just copy and paste my links I provided in your browser bar.Good luck on your landscaping project.I love stones and boulders in any landscape!
