boxwood hedge

Question
We have a 30 year old boxwood hedge in Naples Fl that is about 24" tall and doing well. I want to trim it down to about 12" to 15" to expose a beautiful water fountain. Is this to much to take off at one cutting? Is there a best time of the year to do this? Thanks for your help. Regards, tom sween

Answer
It depends on the species of boxwood, but it would PROBABLY do ok, it might look bad for a year though. Best time is now.
