toro sprinkler system not turning off

Question
One zone of my system won't turn off unless I turn the water valve off. Even turning the timer controller to off doesn't stop it. Would this be a valve or coil problem? I just recently moved into the house and this is the first time I tried it. The timer says its a greenkeeper 212. Thank you.

Answer
Hey Robert, I hope this helps. Your problem is in the automatic valve. It is probably either the solenoid(coil) or it could be the diaphram inside the valve itself. Go to this website: www.irrigationtutorials.com. This is a reat website for showing you how to change a solenoid or diaphram in your valve. Just keep in mind, that you will need to know which brand valve you have, the size valve you have, and the model# of the valve you have. Most manufacturers have their own solenoids and diaphrams, and they are not interchangeable from one to the other. Let me know if I can be of anymore help, thanks and have a great day.
