Question
As the subject stated, one of my Rain Bird 5000 Plus Sprinkler heads will not go back into the housing after finishing timed lawn watering.   It rotates and shoot water, also water is flowing excessively from ground sides in two places.  Note the other sprinkler heads go back down.  How long is system parts warranted?  Had system less than 2 year -- came with house.

Hey Jacque, I hope this helps. The 5000 plus rotor heads are warranted for 5 years. It sounds as if either the top of the seal where it screws onto the body has cracked, or the body has cracked. It also could be that the connection down below has broken, and dirt or debris has gotten up into the head, and is not allowing it to pop back down. You will need to dig around the head, and un-screw it to find out what is wrong with it.Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Thanks and have a great day.
