Irrigation Problem

Question
Last spring I re-started my sprinkler system as normal, following the instruction provided by a local irrigation company. I have winterized and done spring start-up for a few years prior to this.

However when I got to the last step and opened the supply valve, several watering zones came on at the same time. I had the system programmed to water from zones 1-8, in that order, yet several zones came on at once. When the watering program cycled through the several watering zones, at least one other zone stayed on too and when the program had cycled all the way through, some zones would not shut off without me shutting off the supply valve (I went through the winterize steps to shut down the system). Can you give me an idea of what is wrong and what I might expect to pay to have it fixed?

Answer
Melvin,

Did you winterize the system yourself? Sounds like maybe some of the valves were manually left in the on position or you may have debris in the valve(s)

Please read my operations manual on how to start up a sprinkler system in the spring, if may help you.
