Question
Many years ago an oldtimer gave me what I've since learned were White Shallots.  They were best eaten like scallions.  I would always save a bunch of sets for the next year. I lost the whole mess one year and haven't been able to get the sets. Do you know of anyone that sells the sets or where I could get some.

Howard, my suggestion would be to research some of the better known seed and gardening companies on the internet.  Almost all of them offer both on-line catalogs and free catalogs sent to your home.  My favorites include:

All of the on-line sites offer search fields.  Just type in scallions and they will list all of the various varieties available.  The advantage of shopping though these catalogs is that they give you the greatest variety and all are illustrated.
