Orchid Centerpiece
I am making tall centerpieces with a 24" x 5" pilsner trumpet vase using dendrobium orchids. How many stems of dendrobiums should I use to get the look in the attached picture? I am planning on using a cylinder oasis cup to hold them in place at the top. Thank you!
AnswerThe photo shows arachnis or oncidium orchids.... while lovely, the Dendrobium orchids you mention will not have the same flowy effect.
If you still want to use the Dendrobium, you would need approximately 8 stems minimally to have a full effect.
You may want to consider adding some other material (bear grass, ting, etc.) to create the airy fullness you see in your photo.
