burned my lawn with fertilizer...how do I get it back?

Question
I made a big mistake this spring.
I de-thatched my lawn with a de-thatching blade on my mower.
I then added fertilizer to my lawn.  (but did not read the instructions properly...)
Anyway...my lawn is now burnt (I put double or triple the amount of fertilizer needed on my lawn) - Scotts TurfBuilder Pro 31-3-8

I have watered it for about 3 hours a day for the past 4 days...and it is browner than when I started.

What can I do to get it back!?!?

Answer
depends on where you live... it's a big world.
i'm in southern NJ...USA.
give it an inch of water per day for the next week or two to dilute the fertilizer. don't water after 3PM. you may have already caused a fungus problem by over doing the water amount and duration. sounds like you do extreme things all the time w/out planning them 1st??? planning and following directions is of the utmost importance in horticulture. you may have to wait a couple of months for nature to dilute the fertilizer problem. wait till fall (late september in NJ) to start a new lawn. apply turf lime at 40lbs per 1000 SF to neutralize the soil pH. sod or seed after summer and hope for the best.
get to a local garden center/nursery and quiz them on a lawncare in your area.  buy your products from them and they should be more than happy to help you.  ask them what is good for your area.
good luck
