I am wondering about sunflower seeds because I am doing a science fair project. I'm doing 'which color of light causes sunflower seeds to grow best?' I am growing the plants in pots with pieces of flashing around the outside of the pots and extending upward(Sorry if this is confusing). I need some information on sunflower seeds so that I can have some research. I was wondering if you knew anything about sunflower seeds(they are bird seeds)? Thanks!

As a beginning scientist there is one important habit you need to get into for any project.  You have to read and find out information that will increase the prospects of success for your project.  If i were to just tell you what you need you will not learn and we conduct research to learn.  

So you need to look up the information about sunflower seeds.
