Antennaria neodioica

Northern pussy toes (Antennaria neodioica) an-ten-NAR-ee-ah dy-oh-EYE-kah Synonyms:  Antennaria howellii Greene subsp. neodioica Genus:  Antennaria This deciduous, mat-forming perennial produces everlasting flowers. It is a native prairie plant that has stem and leaf bottoms covered with white hairs and whitish flower heads that form in dense clusters. Male and female flowers are produced on separate plants. Care:  Provide full sun to part shade and dry to medium soil. Propagation:  Sow seeds in spring or autumn; divide plants in spring. Problems:  Leaf spots, powdery mildew and smut.
