Agastache rupestris

Sunset hyssop (Agastache rupestris) ag-ah-STAK-ee roo-PES-tris Genus:  Agastache True to its name, sunset hyssop encapsulates a Western sunset in its flowers: bronze with hints of orange and yellow, and streaks of magenta and pink along the margins. More and more flowers emerge as summer progresses. The plant blooms heavily in August, and continues into autumn. Care:  Provide full sun to part shade and dry to medium, well-drained soil. Propagation:  Sow seed in spring. Divide plants in summer. Root semi-ripe cuttings in summer. Some plants may need winter protection where not hardy. Problems:  Mildew, rust, and downy mildew.
