Knowledge Discourse: Designing With Topiaries: Plus Extra

Just as in art, the way things are spaced in interior design is critical to a well-balanced appearance. When you add topiaries to the area you are enhancing, be sure there is enough breathing room for the plants. Remember there are many topiary sizes, shapes, and styles that you can choose from. If you plan to place a topiary into your office, we recommend that you choose a tall circular topiary style. We also recommend that you choose a silk topiary. This way you will not have to worry about water, bugs, or plan food. Individual houses and places of worship are other great places for silk topiaries. You can find silk topiaries small enough to adorn your desk and large enough to fill a large area of a room. Be creative in your choice of topiaries and what you use to decorate with them!

Bonsai Trees

Decorating with bonsai trees was originally a Japanese technique. The love that the Japanese had for the exquisiteness of trees led them to keep petite trees, like the bonsai tree, on display indoors. Today the tradition continues with many shapes and varieties of the tree. When deciding to decorate your home with a bonsai tree, either artificial or real, you will need to know the specifications of the area that you are placing the tree. You will need to have enough room for the pot to fit horizontally and the tree to fit vertically"and keep in mind that if the plant is real, it may continue to grow! As a helpful hint, make sure that you are treating yourself to a specialty pot or container. Well-chosen containers do more than just hold a plant in place"they also augment the attractiveness of the display.

Flower Color Coordination for Arrangements

Whether the flowers in your floral arrangement are real or artificial, having the right blend of colors makes a big difference in overall appearance. If you are just starting a flower arranging hobby, a great idea is to pop into a flower shop and observe the colors that are used in the arrangements that really catch your eye. You can also do this activity using online websites with photographs of floral designs. As you explore different styles, remember that there are two major categories for arrangements. The first is a natural arrangement, which coordinates similar regional or seasonal flowers. The inherent beauty of a garden or flowered meadow is captured in this technique. The other technique is to bring together flowers based on their shapes and colors. You are most likely to see these types of arrangements at weddings or other social gatherings. A tip when arranging these flowers is to arrange within the same color but use different hues of that color.

Storing your Silk Wreaths

A principle way to decorate your home for the holidays is with a wreath. There are so many wreath options and so many different seasons that any creative crafter can easily feel overrun with them. That does not need to be the case, as there are several options for storing your wreaths. You can cut down on your storage needs by recycling your wreaths. In other words, you can use the same base for all of your wreaths and simply change the decorative features on them. When creating a reusable wreath, you will want a strong foundation. You can attach your flowers or other designs to the wreath using a small amount of glue, a large amount of tape, or a weaving pattern that holds everything together. In this way, without destroying your wreaths, you will never have to store the ring because it is always hanging on the door. Instead of having a dozen wreath boxes, you can keep your flowers and knickknacks in a single container. There are storage containers built specifically for wreaths and hanging shelves that store your wreaths nicely if you’d rather use multiple wreaths.
