Growing Osteospermum (Osteospermum)

Growing Osteospermum (Osteospermum)

Pronunciation: oss-tee-oh-spur'-muh

Plant in full sun and average to dry soil. Remove spent blooms to encourage more flowering. Flowering may slow or cease entirely in the heat of summer, resuming when temperatures moderate. If grown as a container plant in summer, it makes a nice addition to the sunny windowsill in winter. (In our experience, plants lifted from the ground in fall generally fare poorly when brought indoors.) Hardy to Zone 9 (20°).
