Bulb size: 6-8 cm 

Plant 1-2 in. deep and 3-4 in. apart in humus-rich soil (10-15 per sq. ft.). It's difficult to tell tops from bottoms, so we try to plant these small, flattened tubers on their narrower edges. This woodland plant is adaptable to sunny spots, especially in the North. Although many books suggest soaking all anemones overnight before planting, we have not found this to be necessary.
