  2. Chalk: Chalk is a very safe and an effective way to get rid of ants. Draw thick lines on the window sill or near the doors, passages and around the countertop. The ants will scatter away from the chalk line. And this will prevent them from entering your house.
  3. Soap solution: This seems to be very effective on ants. Mix liquid soap with water and pour it in a squirt bottle. Now spray the soap solution in ant holes. Also spray it on ant trails leading to the holes. The ants will soon leave the holes from the strong scent of detergent leaving your house ant-free.
