How To Make A Garden At Home, If You Are Living In A Flat In London

Having a garden in London is a luxury for some Londoners, because they live in flats. People in highly urbanised areas can't afford to have big gardens at home, because of the lack of space. There is a way to bring some greenness in your flat, though, and I'm going to share my ideas with you.

The easiest way to invite nature in your flat is by planting flowers in pots. Don't buy oval pots, though, because they are more appropriate for big plants and domestic trees. I personally recommend long rectangle pots, which can host up to a few small flowers. They can be well arranged on a table, cabinets, and on shelves beneath windows. If you put blooming flowers in them, your windows and home will look really charming and beautiful.

Oval pots can also be of use at home. There are such features which allow you to hang oval pots on walls and on the ceiling. This is a great way to save space and to decorate your home, too. If you wonder what plants to plant in such pots, I recommend crawling plants. They can't crawl in this case, but they start growing down and become really beautiful. The height somehow helps these plants grow faster and healthier.

Be very careful with the plants you grow at home, because some of them raise the humidity in enclosed areas. This can be pretty bad for a Londoner's home, because high humidity helps mould grow. This can turn into a very serious problem, because mould is a serious health threat.

If you are living on the last floor and there is a flat roof over your flat, you can build a garden on the roof. Of course, you will have to consult with a few agencies in London, and take some measures, so to prevent leakage from the roof. This is quite an investment, but it is worth every penny and effort. In the end you will have a beautiful green area with a spot for relaxation and roof parties right over your apartment, and will be able to spend your free time there whenever weather allows you to. If you are creative enough and if you can afford it, of course, you can even add some fancy feature, such as ponds and fire pits, to your rooftop garden.

In a conclusion I will say that it doesn't matter if you're living in a house with a big yard or in a one-bedroom flat, you can still have your garden. If you like my ideas, feel free to use them. If you don't know how to make them happen, don't hesitate to use professional gardening services in London.
