Question
I would like to know if a Peace Lilly can be seperated at the roots in order to make a Beta planter?

Answer
Dear Tammie, Yes, you can grow it in a dish, you can grow it with a fish.  OK, forgive me the pun, but I am fascinated by this new culture of growing beta fish with peace lilies (spathiphyllum). You can separate the peace lily at the roots by carefully cutting apart the bulbs with roots attached.  If you have a large plant, you may have several bulbs.  So long as the part you select has good roots attached, you can wash the dirt off, and put the fish with it.  Good luck, and enjoy your project.  Melissa
