Varied Growing Systems for limited space!

It is more appropriate in hydroponics gardening. It is significant to note that these specific systems are majorly dependent on the nutrient solution that circulates amidst adjacent plants. This way of growing system is perfect where space is a big limitation. Here, the plants grow one above the another thereby occupying minimum space possible. In flats and apartments where space is available at a premium value, going for this growing system is a perfect way of gardening.

Before embarking on a gardening journey, it is imperative to understand what exactly is vertical hydroponics garden. For example, of planting strawberries in empty plastic bottles or pots, hydroponic substrate can be used like Rockwool or expanded clay for this purpose and then positioning them vertically, stacked one above the other, thereby passing hydroponic nutrients percolating from the top to the bottom plant. This way, one can have a vertical garden in no time. There are many plants that can be planted in this way, but especially those plnts that are grown in the containers that have the capacity to support and contain the root system. Besides strawberries, other plants grown in this manner are herbs like dill, basil, thyme, parseley and mint, mini peppers and mini tomatoes. Large plants like gherkins and pumpkins can also be grown as per this growing system.

In these hydroponics system, since these plants are positioned vertically, these systems follow the drip hydroponics system where initially the hydroponics nutrients are given to the top most plant by pumping them and then allow their continuous dripping. The plants are fed with these nutrients and then passes through the plants lower than them. This way, all plants from top to bottom are fed well. Each plant gets proper nutrients and ultimately the nutrients cllect below in a reservoir positioned below the bottom most plant. Here, the nutrients are again recycled and then pumped back to the top to follow the same process. This way, nutrients and water is recycled and ensure that a proper vertical growing system is ensured. Moreover, this method requires comparatively than traditional gardens while being more self sustaining.
Today, the popularity of these systems has grown so much that more and more homeowners who do not have enough space for traditional gardens are going for these vertical growing systems.

There are kit systems available in the market that allows people to go for any kind of vertical systems. In severely limited spaces as well, these gardening systems can go well. Many people also have them in their windows as this waythey are able to make a suitable use of the unused space. The sunlight is also proper in these plants and no additional arrangements for light needs to be done. These growing systems are also popularly used on walls. It not only flourish in cramped spaces but also give a unique look to the walls.
