bubbles in the pond

Question
I started a new Koi pond a few weeks ago. The pond is covered with bubbles. I cannot see the fish. I checked the ph of the water it is between 7.2 and 7.6. I also have some algae in the pond, water is somewhat green. I have some Koi and some gold fish in the pond. Some of my smaller gold fish died few days ago.

Answer
I think you maybe moved a little too fast, in a pond you are developing a mini- eco system. If you have a filter try adding pond peat. If you only have a fountain pump try adding a barley straw bale or a bag of pond peat. This will stabilize the water. If you buy anymore fish go to the pet shop and buy feeder goldfish they are only about 35 cents and it is not devatating if you lose them. The fact you have Koi alive is a good thing. Don't forget to put in a few oxygenating plants to get the system going. Search the web and library to get as much info as you can. This is well worth the effort trial and error will give you vast rewards. There are so many variables in a new pond. It is very difficult to determine your exact problem.
