poorly fish

Question
I have had my pond for 3 years,it holds 2200 ltrs, has a pump, filter and uv lamp.A couple of months after the fish were introduced,1 by 1 they have started to surface with like furry wounds on there flanks and backs, too far gone to treat. I have had my water tested at tong garden cetre in leeds, every thing was fine apart from the PH level, which was slightly high but stil within normal limits.Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem,or could advise me on whats wrong.

Answer
Hi Richard,

Your fish may be infected by fungus.

In any case, a salt bath would help.
To do this, you should have an emergency tank (a kid's plastic pool would do it). An aerator would also be needed.
Use 3 kilograms of salt for every 100 liters of water.
The fish should not be left in that solution for more than 10 minutes.
Make sure that the ph level is the same as the pond.

Good luck
