Question
QUESTION: hi
can i grow a loquat in a large pot and a lychee in a pot
thank's dave

ANSWER: Dave, you can, but each year you need to remove it and trim the roots to fit; otherwise your tree will suffer from a cramped root system, same for either and others too! Makes sure you line the bottom of the container with a drainage medium (pea stone, gravel etc.), about 2 inches, and I wouldn't go smaller then a 30-50 gallon container; this said, keep in mind that the resulting tree is going to be somewhat stressed and will not bear the fruit of the same in the ground...Nick

QUESTION: hi
can you tell me what temperature they will go down to  and about what size is a 30-50 gallon pot in ins thanks Dave

Answer
If I understand you correctly, by what temp they will go down too, I am assuming you mean what temp they will tolerate? if so, they are sub tropical by nature, so, any freeze is going to do them in; the inches in diameter of a 30 gallon pot is around 20-24 inches, depending on style. Nick
