agapanthus and daylillies

Question
Hello Nick. Last time we spoke, you saved my palm trees!! Now I bring to you a new dilemma, 2 new questions.  I have some gorgeous agapanthus plants that refuse to bloom. I have used super thrive and miracle grow.
But, not at the same time. Water regularly, but still no bloom. The base of the plants and leaves grow, yet, no blooms. In addition; I have many daylillies bordering my flowerbeds that also refuse to bloom this year.  Occasionally, 1 or 2.  The leaves on the daylillies appear yellowish, very light green/yellow and weak.  They don't seem to be growing at all. While the agapanthus leaves grow to look full and healthy, both plant species refuse to bloom this year. HELP!!!
I live in League City, Texas. Due north of Galveston but 50 miles from downtown Houston.  These plants are about 2 years old, maybe 3.
Is it possible to have disease or could it be simple??  Thank You!!

Answer
Hi Lana, The Ags are probably getting too much nitrogen,,,causing leaf growth at the expense of blooms; try Miracle-grow blossom booster (its nitrogen is less...) and make sure they are getting full Sun. The lillies sound like too much water settling in the roots system "or/and" not enough Sun. It is difficult with flowers to isolate a problem and many times you must do it through process of elimination. Nick
