Question
i live in georgia and have a six-year old white pine i planted. it is seven feet tall now.  can i trim it to stay this height, treating it as a hedge?  where it is in the landscape, this would make a nice feature.  thanks in advance.

Brad,

White pine can be pruned and shaped.  A word of caution though.  Go slow, conifers will not replaced pruned foliage as fast as other landscape plants.  So take your time and over the course of a couple of years you should have an interesting garden feature.
