transplant problem

Question
My lawn man moved a 4-5 ft. tall crepe myrtle trimmed to be a tree over to a new spot about 3 feet away this week at my request.  He did not say that now was not a good time to do so or I would have waited!   NOW he says it may not live. The leaves have wilted, crisped and some have fallen off.  I put root stimulator on it 1 day after transplant as he instructed me to.  I have watered it daily.  I live in Dallas, TX and the air temp is 90 this week.. Does my Crepe Myrtle have a chance and what else can I do?

Answer
Linda,

I am afraid there is little that can be done at this time. Continue watering the plants and put down some more biostimulant. If it starts to show some regrwoth, use a low nitrogen fertilizer to help strengthen the plants.

Good luck,
