Rose suggestions

Question
Hi there, I'm actually in New Zealand but I'm after a suggestion for a climbing rose that is both HIGHLY fragrant and repeat flowering (if such a thing exists).  I'm fairly relaxed on colour but tend to avoid very sharp pinks.
Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Thanks
Kate

Answer
Hello Kate-

Well, of the climbers that I have had experience growing that are very fragrant and provide good cut flowers also - I would have to recommend: Don Juan (red), Buff Beauty (yellow) and Lavender Lassie (lilac-pink).  Don Juan blooms mostly summer, Lavender Lassie blooms mostly spring, and Buff Beauty blooms mostly spring, fall and winter (here anyway).  But of the roses I had read about the following would also be good choices: Compassion, America (cl.), Albertine, Aloha, Belle of Portugal, Gloire de Dijon, Natchitoches Noisette, Prosperity, Souvenir de Madame Leonie Viennot, Reve d'Or, Jaune Desprez, Fragrant Cloud climbing.

Have fun smelling the roses!
