Question
I was pruning my shrub rose and cut off a large healthy branch.  Is there any way to plant or save this branch?

Hi Sandi.......yes, yes, please try to rooted it!  As a matter of fact, you can cut it into 6 in pieces and try to root alot of it.  It use 5 gallon pots full of organic humus and keep it moist and in partial shade/sun till I feel resistance when it give it a tug (sign of roots developing)  You can overwinter these inside /basement,etc. then the next spring give each one a small-er pot of its own.  As the root system enlarges its chance of survival increases....and soon you will be able to plant it in the garden.  God bless, j.williamson
