wind affecting the flowers

Question
I planted some rose plants this year, but the area where I am living is too windy and my flowers couldn't grow properly. Do you know about any specie that could survive in this kind of windy condition?

Answer
Hi Nelson-

I wouldn't grow anything but very robust roses.  Probably the types of rose I would grow would be landscape roses like Knockout rose, or Rugosa roses.

It would help if you could provide your roses a wind break by planting them next to your house or the fence.

I would stay away from Hybrid Tea roses.

Hope this helps-
