dragon arum

Question
i live in zone 5, and in spring planted a dragon arum, here it is early sept. and its only 2 inches
tall, no where near blooming.  is it perenial? or do i have to dig it up for winter?  why is it still so small?  i hope you can help me.

Answer
Lisa,
Here are some reference catalogs and online sites to get info on this plant.Very unusual plant and is hardy from zones 6-9 according to my research.I have not personally had any experience with this plant.Go to: www.vandycks.com,www.vanbourgondien.com,www.mzbulb.com (aka McClure&Zimmerman Quality Flower Bulbs),www.dutchgardens.com.
You may want to look under the category of "Unusual" or "Rare" plants when you get to the website.
These are good reliable companies that I have used to research with for many years. Good Luck, hope it turns out well for you!
