Canna Problem

Question
I love the Canna Lily plant. I have quite a few varieties all around my house. The first blooms came out beautiful. But since then, the buds have brown spots on the tips and other areas of the bud just before blooming. When these bloom the flower is not as nice as the first ones and appear smaller. In fact some look as if the edges have been eaten. But I can't see any insect eating them. I think it's the result of the bud tips rotting before blooming. I water them regularly. The leaves of the plant all look healthy. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Answer
Jeff,
I used to have some Cannas when I lived in the country, but do not recall ever having that problem. So I went to www.google.com and looked up "Canna care" and this is a site that has info on Cannas that you might find helpful.Read particularly the part under "propagation" about overcrowding. That could be it,but again I can't be sure because I have not experienced this. Hope this is helpful info:

If you still can't find what you are looking for go to www.google.com and type in "Canna problems" in the search box.Good luck to you.
