Will my Phalaenopsis recover after a mealy bug attack?
I first killed them with a cotton bud full of white spirit and water then sprayed with pesticide, waited awhile and then repotted with new potting mix and cutting off dead roots then after about two weeks my Phalaenopsis hasn't showed any improvement, will I just wait until something happens or what, please can you  tell me what to do.

Marion, at this point you seem to have done  what I would have advised.  Assuming you have some good roots and leaves, it will recover and should resume new growth in a few weeks.  Remain vigilant because there may still be mealy eggs that could hatch.
