confusing blooming patterns

Question
ive had this phal for a little over a month and purchased it in full bloom. it had 6 buds 4 of which had fully blossomed.        when i brought it home it lost 1 flower and 1 bud. then seemed to adjust to its new settings and the rest of the flowers did fine and the last bud bloomed well. than over the last week the blooms have all slowly been one at a time shriveling and dropping off.  im not sure that its finished blooming and is just done for the season, becaause today i noticed that just beyond my last flower there is now all of a sudden 2 new buds...? what is going on here?!

Answer
Anngelina, you could be enjoying flowers for some time. It is not unusual for a flower spike to elongate after the first flowers have fallen and to produce buds and flowers on the elongated flower spike.  It also is possible the the flower spike could branch, so after thew spike has finished blooming if you cut the flower spike just above a node (ie joint) in the flower spike, it could branch at that node and that branch could also flower.
