Question
Can you help me pick a plant that I can take to work with me that likes flourescent light?  Someone suggested an african violet, but my violet at home likes natural light better.  I have this little flourescent light that is under a cabinet shelf.   Have any suggestions?!?!?

A philodendron or pothos vine will work well,a begonia, a sansevieria (the tall ones or the short bird's nest sansevieria), or a small aloe plant.  African violets do work well usually under flourescents. It is best if the flourescents are new or daylight tubes or 1 warm white tube and 1 cool white tubes.  Offices frequently use daylight tubes.  Good luck.
