Direction of plants leaves

Question
If I turn a plant 45 degrees every 4 days, will the directions of the leaves go toward the sun?

Answer
Hi Kelsie,

Most plants do orient their leaves in the direction of the light, but some are more light sensitive (photo-tropic) than others.

In general, the longer a plant faces the same direction the more sharply the leaves will orient toward the light.

If you rotate your plant 45 degrees every 4 days, the leaf orientation will be minimal and the plant will grow straight and even and leaf turning will be barely noticeable.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
