prayer plants

Question
A prayer plant that I own has been long overdue for repotting, so I dug it out of it's old home and found that the roots are ridden with these bulb-like growths all over.  I was wondering if this is normal for this species of plant or is it suffering from some abnormal plant malady and should have these growths removed like they were tumors?

Answer
Brandy,

This is the wrong time to be repotting. You should wait till after April 1st when the days are longer and your plant will recuperate from the shock of replanting faster. Putting that aside I need to know if the nodules surround the entire root or if they are on one side of the root. Email me at [email protected] and let me know. Then I can tell you what to do. Also what size pot did you take this plant out of and what size pot did you put it in??
