Money Tree - leaf tips are turning brown

Question
I have a 6 inch Money Tree Plant. Recently, I have noticed that the tips of some of the leaves are turning brown. Other areas of some of the leaves look dented on the sides of the leaves. There is not sign of any bugs, etc. The plant is an indoor houseplant and gets a nice amount of indirect light. What in the world could be causing this and how can I fix it. Thanks!

Answer
Jen,

This is a tree that likes direct sunlight.  Move it to a sunnier location. It may also be rootbound and need moved up to an 8 inch pot for the winter, do not go any larger. This plant grows fast and will need frequent repotting but it is never good to put it in too large a pot. It may also not be getting quite enough water which may be due to the small pot. Make sure it gets regular thorough watering. It is a plant that likes lots of water. But do not leave it sitting with a drain tray full of water constantly. Empty it an hour after watering. Water it whenever the soil surface feels very dry. Good luck.
