30 yr old jade tree


Question
my question is i just became the owner of a 30 yr old tree and i moved it a few miles away from where i got it in a truck. I have alot of yellow leaves now is this due to shock of moving it i lost many stems during this move the tree looks healthy.
please give me any advise you can winter is comming so ill only water it maybe once a month it sits in a south window and gets good light im hoping the move shocked it and i wont loose this awesome looking tree.

I suspect that you moved it in an open pickup truck without any wind protection. You should have found a box from an appliance store that would set down over it and protect it from the wind. The wind put it in shock. It will take time for it to come out of this and send out new leaves but it will.

Otherwise your yellow leaves come from either too much or too little water. When you water you need to give it enough water that all the soil in thd pot gets moist and a little water goes into the drain tray. Then do not water it again until the soil feels bone dry down several inches. Probably at least 10-14 days. Good luck.
