Pink Quill (Tillandsia cyanea)

Question
I recently adopted a pink quill from Ikea and was wondering what type of soil to use and if I should re-pot it? I don't know anything about this plant, other than I felt sorry for it, since it was sitting in a dark corner of a store. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Becky

Answer
Becky,

You really don't need to repot it as it will not get a lot larger. It does not take any nutrition from the soil. It absorbs nutrition thru the air. Check out the following 3 sites for more information. If you have more questions after reading those sights feel free to frite again. Good luck.
