Can I put Ficus Benjamina in my balcony in a bigger bell shaped 50CM pot?

Question
I know Ficus Benjamina will survive summer as I have seen them in outdoor in Dubai but the only thing I dont know is whether it will survive London Winter?

Please confirm

Answer
Hi Azam,
A Ficus Benjamina would not likely survive a winter in London.
Temperatures below 50 F (10 C) are fatal to Ficus Benjamina. Ficus Benjamina prefer temperatures above 60 F (16 C).

The subject line of your question asked about repotting into a bigger pot.
It is important to avoid unnecessary repotting. It is one of the most common reasons for plant failure. Some signs a plant needs to be repotted is little or no new growth, roots growing on top of the soil and an almost constant need for water.

Also you should never repot a plant into a pot more than 1-2 inches bigger than the pot it was in. The soil in a pot that is too big can stay wet too long and cause root rot.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
     Thanks
