purpal wandering jew cuttings

Question
i have 3 cuttings on my purpal wandering jew they grew roots and know are in a 8 inch pot together should i put them in different pots or leave them will they be fine as loung as i move them to bigger pots any help you can give will greatly be appreciated thank you for your time cindy

Answer
Cindy
Wandering Jew is a common name for numerous vining plants...They were called that because as people would travel and move to different areas they would wrap the cuttings up until they arrived at their new destination...Then they would start new plants from these cuttings ...Tradescantia(Genus) Zebrina(species) is one of the most common...It is usually green with purple stripes...Purple Passion(Gynura aurantiaca)plants have fuzzy purple leaves with smelly orange flowers...Purple Heart(Tradescantia pallida) plant has purple leaves and bright pink flowers...All of these are often referred to as Purple Wandering Jew plants...

For your plant I would leave the cuttings all in the same 8" pot...It will make for a nicer and denser looking 8"potted plant...Make sure you prune them as they start to grow so they will branch out better allowing for a thicker fuller looking plant...Cut the branches back to above a leaf...Make sure you leave leaves on the tip cutting also...You can use the tip cuttings to produce more plants...
Hope this helps,
