my new herb garden

Question
I just recently purchased some herbs to plant, I am short on space, so only have two large tubs to plant in, I know that Thyme, Oregano, and Rosemary should have their own containers, so I will be out for more pots soon, but am I able to plant, the french tarragon and the lavender together, without one choking the other, and could I plant the french thyme and the lemon thyme together?

Answer
Malanie:
Assuming your tubs are 36" in diameter, you may plant french & lemon thyme together. The key is to keep them prune by cutting from the top down 1/3 on each branch every 3 weeks. Place extra cutting into paper bag to dry & then strip leaves place in blender & grind & store or give to friends. Shake the bag at least once a week to become well dry. Lavender & rosemary do need separate pots, add a handful of powdered lime to lavender at planting and once a year in spring. Feed all herbs with liquid fish or fish/seaweed fertilizer. Home depot/lowe's are now carrying the liquid fish. Rosemary need once a week water. Too much water will kill it. if it rain during that week, don't water. Fertilize every 3 weeks along with the pruning.
