Blue Point Juniper hedge

Question
Last week we planted 80 Blue Point Junipers to create a hedge for our back yard.  They are about 1-1 1/2 ft tall, and they came in 3 gallon containers.  We live in Central Florida, and we have had temperatures in the 70s and 80s now.  We want to take care of the plants and grow a privacy hedge as quickly as possible.  Should we water every day to begin with?  When would you consider the plants established?  What fertilizer should we use, and when should we do the first application?  Are there any other tips and tricks you can tell us about caring for these plants?  Thank you so much in advance!

Answer
Water about once a week IF it does not rain for the first growing season. These trees do not require much water. I would not fertilize for the first year and then use 10-10-10 fertilizer at the rate of 1lb per inch of trunk diameter scattered around the tree and watered in good. Fertilize in the early spring. These trees are generally low maintenance scrubs.
