Mold in Purple Pitchers

Question
There is white fuzz around the bugs that are underwater in my Purple Pitchers.  I believe it's a mold of some sort.  Is this something I need to worry about?

Answer
Hi Matthew,

That's normal.  Bugs will often develop mold as they decompose in the pitchers.  It's not the same species of mold and fungus that attacks the plant, so there's nothing to worry about.  If the aesthetics of it concerns you, you can always remove the carcass with tweezers.

Good growing!
