flytraps that close

Question
Does anyone know any other flytraps that close except the venus trap

Answer
Hello Robert,

There are many different kinds of carnivorous plants. Some catch flies, some catch wasps and bees, some capture ants or gnats. Each species is different, so not all capture only flies, so are not called flyytraps, and some move while others do not.

The only plant called a Flytrap is the Venus Flytrap. There are many sundews that move to catch prey, though not as quickly as the Flytrap does. There are plants called bladderworts that can trap prey faster than Venus Flytraps and use differential pressure to suction prey inside their tiny traps.
