Pinguicula on lava rock

Question
Hello, I have a Pinguicula moranensis. I bought it when it
was about the diameter of a quarter, I have been growing it
on a small piece of red volcanic rock sitting in water since
then. It has grown quickly and I am now in need of a larger
stone (Thinking fist sized pumice). This may be the wrong
place to ask, but where could I obtain such a rock? I live in
Southern California so they aren't exactly laying around.

Thank you in advanced!

Answer
Hi Cayce,

You'll need to go to a specialty nursery that might carry decorative rocks.  Since I don't live in your area, I can't give you any specific recommendations as to where to go.  Take a look in your phone book for specialty nurseries.  You could also go online to find sources for large pumice stones.

Good growing!
