bonide insect control

Question
in your monthly podcast for june you mentioned that u can use bonide insect control to control those pesky aphids and other insects.
earlier in the year i asked if you can use this type of insect control http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTProduct.asp?SKU=BOP-951&src=froogle&kw=BOP-95...
can you use this? it is indeed bonide insect control. have you found out if the granules are safe on carnivorous plants?

Answer
Hi Robert,

Turns out what we were recommending was the liquid, which contains acephate.  This is the same as Ortho Systemic insect killer which we have used many times safely.  The granules we've never tested.  They contain Imidacloprid.  I have reason to believe this is safe, but test it first on one plant.  Give it a couple of weeks.  If you don't see damage, then it's probably safe.  We've found most chemical insecticides safe as long as they are used as directed.  Oddly it's may of the "natural" products we've had trouble with.  Let us know how it works.

Good Growing!
